Union County Public and Media Relations provides the public, the media and county employees with up-to-the-minute news and information about Union County operations and services. Public and Media Relations is responsible for:
Media Relations-Distributing news releases and media advisories to media outlets. The Communications Officer also responds to questions about county operations from the media.
Publication-Plan, design, write and edit brochures, newsletters and other information materials.
Press Conferences-Coordinate and conduct press conferences.
Web Site-Union County information and services can be viewed on the county's website. Public and Media Relations works closely with the county's webmaster to ensure timely and accurate information and news is available online.
Internal Communication-Communicate with Union County employees through an employee newsletter and other communication tools.
