
Chairwoman Rogers was elected to the board in 2008. She was elected Chairwoman in December 2009. A resident of North Carolina since 1989, she has previously served as an At-Large member on the Union County Board of Education. She and her husband Michael have 2 daughters, Brittany and Jenna.
Chairwoman Rogers graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in business and has over 15 years of leadership and management experience. She has been responsible for the financial management of multi-million dollar budgets, has extensive human resource and operations management experience and is a proven leader of necessary change.
She has been involved in and volunteered for several community organizations over the years and hopes to increase the exposure of volunteer needs in our community. She believes “You can not do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good you can do” – Anon.
Chairwoman Rogers is committed to a proactive approach to planning of our county’s resources to include sewer, water, schools, roads and other vital infrastructure. She believes open and honest communication to the citizens of the county is essential in order to achieve transparent government. She will deliver total accountability for your tax dollars.
