
Vice-Chairwoman Kuehler was elected to the Union County Board of Commissioners in 2008. She was elected Vice-Chairwoman in December 2009. She and her husband have been married for 17 years, have two boys, and have lived in the Charlotte area for almost 20 years, residing in the Waxhaw/Wesley Chapel area for the last five.
Vice-Chairwoman Kuehler has a background in operations management and legal research. She has a paralegal degree and is currently finishing a Science of Management degree at Montreat College.
For the past twelve years she has worked as a legal researcher and independent contractor for a law firm in Rock Hill, SC, where she specializes in civil litigation, appellate work, and zoning law. Prior to the legal industry, she was employed in franchise business operations and sales management.
She was the founding president of the Kensington Elementary PTO, served on the site-based committee and strategic planning committee, was appointed as a consultant on the Waxhaw Land Use Plan Committee, as well as other volunteer positions throughout the community. She also has experience in dealing with NCDENR, FEMA, and the Army Corp of Engineers, as it pertains to local development issues.
