About Public Swimming Pools:
Please remember that NO Public Swimming Pool shall operate unless the owner or operator has an Operation Permit issued yearly by this department. To obtain a permit return a completed Operation Permit Application Packet with fee to Union County Environmental Health.

Public Swimming Pools which are constructed or remodeled on or after May 1, 1991, plan and specifications shall be prepared by a registered professional engineer or registered architect and shall be approved by the Department prior to construction. For these pools submit a completed Public Swimming Pool Plan Review Packet with fee to Union County Environmental Health.
