The Union County Solid Waste Department operates six satellite collection container sites throughout Union County. Sites are generally open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Facilities are set up to accept bagged household garbage only (other items must be brought to the main landfill) and the following recyclable materials. Cost is 25 cents per bag for garbage. Recyclables and used motor oil (where accepted) are free of charge. Please bring small bills or change only.
All children under the age of 12 must remain in the vehicle while on collection site premises. For your safety we require that customers remain off of the wall while disposing of items.

- Newspapers, Inserts, Magazines, Catalogs, Computer paper, and Phonebooks
- Aluminum Cans, Steel Cans, and Spiral Cans
- Corrugated Cardboard
- Glass Containers
- Plastic Containers
- Used Motor Oil and Transmission Fluid - Maximum limit - 5 gallons
