NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Union County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Monday, April 18, 2016, at 4:00p.m. in the Human Resources Training Room, Room 131, First Floor, Union County Government Center, 500 North Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina, for the purpose of holding a work session to discuss an FY 2016-2017 budget focus area.Work session topics may include but are not limited to sustainable volunteer fire department funding and capital.

At the conclusion of the work session, the Board of Commissioners plans to recess the special meeting to reconvene in the Conference Room, First Floor, Union County Government Center, 500 North Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina, for the purpose of going into a closed session to consult with an attorney in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege in accordance with G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3).

The Board may take such actions related to the matters discussed during the special meeting as the Board deems appropriate.


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Union County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Monday, April 18, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. in the Fountain Room at Hill Top Fish Fare, 1602 East Roosevelt Boulevard, Monroe, North Carolina 28112, for the purpose of meeting with members of Union County's Legislative Delegation to discuss issues relevant to Union County. The topics to be discussed during the special meeting might include but not be limited to the Yadkin Water Project, Short Session legislative goals, and Long Session legislative goals.
