Procurement provides centralized procurement services to all Union County departments while ensuring contracts are awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in proposals for the performance of contracts.
Pursuant to the State Statute, applicable bid advertisements shall: (i) state the time and place where plans and specifications of proposed work or a complete description of the apparatus, supplies, materials, or equipment may be had; (ii) state the time and place for opening of the proposals; and (iii) reserves to the board or governing body the right to reject any or all proposals.
Electronic advertisements for bidders, as approved by the Union County Board of Commissioners, may be found under the Current Bids link. These advertisements contain the information required by law.
