​Farmers Market Honored by Leadership Union Class

March 24, 2015, Monroe, NC – The Union County Farmers Market was presented with a plaque from the 2014 Leadership Union class in appreciation of the Farmers Market’s commitment to providing local produce from local farms to local people in Union County.

According to Union Academy Head Master and 2014 Leadership Union Class President Ann Walters, Leadership Union’s service project included donating a bench to the Farmers Market and improving and reviving the Market.
