​​​Maureen Ryan Griffin to Hold Writing Workshop at Monroe Library

April 20, 2015, Monroe, NC – Would you enjoy using visual images as a writing inspiration? The Union County Public Library in Monroe will host a unique writing workshop featuring Maureen Ryan Griffin as instructor on April 25 from 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Join us for “Every Picture Holds a Story" and learn fun, easy writing methods to capture treasured family stories and create memorable fiction, memoir, and poetry using photos or other visual images. A variety of images will be provided or you may bring your own photos. Maureen Ryan Griffin of, an award-winning writer, editor, and teacher with more than 20 years of experience and a passion for teaching writing, will instruct and guide us.
